Three fire engines were called to Wycombe Hospital this morning.
The crews arrived at the hospital after 8.15am after they received reports that someone could see smoke.
However, it turned out to be a false alarm. Firefighters carried out a search but could not find any signs of a fire.
The fire engines were seen at the back of the hospital, on Marlow Hill - and there were long traffic delays in the area.
