Car parks in Wycombe should be “safe and welcoming to visitors”, the district council has said – as it asks residents what they think about the facilities.

Wycombe District Council (WDC) manages more than 3,000 parking spaces across 29 different car parks in the district – and it has launched a survey to find out what drivers think about them.

The council says it will use the responses to the survey to help “inform any decisions we make about changes within them”.

The survey added: “We want to make sure our car parks are safe and welcoming to visitors. We also want to make sure we generate enough income so that we can continue to make sure that our car parks are in good condition and provide a good visitor experience.”

Millions of people use the council's car parks every year - including The Swan, Easton Street and the Handy X Hub in High Wycombe, Pound Lane in Marlow and The Mount in Princes Risborough.

The survey asks how easy it is to find a space to park, if the car parks are clean and clear or rubbish and if they are a good impression of the town.
