Talks, demonstrations and performances to celebrate being a girl were enjoyed by women from across the county at the weekend.
International Day of the Girl was marked at Bucks New University on October 13 with an array of events being held throughout the day.
Visitors enjoyed salls and speeches centred around happiness, self-care, forging a career you enjoy, health and wellbeing.
There were also performances from local singers and a spoken word artist, a raffle, yoga, a choir workshop, food and a head-wrap demonstration.
The International Day of the Girl is a day of observance declared by The United Nations Women’s Organisation to support more opportunities for young girls and increase awareness of gender inequality suffered by females.
The High Wycombe event was organised by Wycombe’s African and Caribbean community and was sponsored by Thames Valley Police and other organisations, including Wycombe District Council.
