Young people in High Wycombe have been given a platform to have their say on how their community is shaped after a new youth council was launched last week.
A total of 11 youth councillors have been elected from six schools in the area, and they joined together on Monday, October 15 for their first meeting.
Cabinet member for youth on Wycombe District Council, Councillor David Carroll, said: “It was great to meet these enthusiastic youth councillors.
“The event was full of energy with much interest from the young people about how the council works and how they can be involved in having their say on decision that affect them, their friends and family.”
Wycombe is the latest area to start a youth council, after a group of Chesham youngsters held their first meeting in September.
