More acts have been announced for this year’s PennFest.

Alternative rock band Suede will headline the festival on the Friday night, before RnB star Craig David takes to the stage on Saturday.

The 7 Days singer has been confirmed as a headline act for the festival, opening and closing the event with a “spectacular” set on July 20.

Since his emergence in 1999 appearing on the Artful Dodger’s Re-Rewind single, Craig David has become known as one of the forerunners of the UK garage and RnB scenes.

With his last album released in 2010, many people thought he was ‘walking away’ from the music scene.

But he took up a career as a club and radio DJ under the guise of TS5 before returning to his own music in 2016, with his sixth studio album, Following my Intuition, reaching number one on the UK album charts and certified gold.

Happy Mondays have also been confirmed to perform as “special guests” on Saturday evening.

Now in its ninth year, PennFest’s line-up promises to be the “best ever”, with bigger names than ever before performing throughout the weekend.
