Runners will once again join forces this weekend to raise thousands for charity.

The Marlow Half Marathon and Marlow 7 will return on Sunday, with hundreds of runners expected to take part in both events.

Crowds will gather in the High Street to cheer on the runners as they take on the 13.1-mile or seven-mile routes.

The Marlow Striders’ event will feature a new children’s run – the Kids Kilometre – a fun run that aims to encourage all children aged between five and 14 to join in, no matter their fitness level or experience.

Marlow’s Kids Kilometre will take contestants from the start point of the half marathon near Marlow Bridge, through Higginson Park and over to the half marathon event village at Marlow Sports Club.

Finishers will complete the run through the finishing banner used for the main races and can enter on the day for £3.

Last year, almost 1,400 runners took part in the Marlow Half Marathon and Marlow 7, with more than £30,000 expected to have been raised from the day for good causes.
