Services to remember lost loved ones are set to take place around south Bucks.
Hosted by Rennie Grove Hospice Care, the Light Up a Life services aim to help people remember and celebrate the memory of someone special.
Lisa Makey, who leads Rennie Grove Hospice Care’s family support Services, said: “The festive season can be a time of nostalgia and memories and no matter how many months or years have passed since the loss of a loved one, it can often be a difficult time of the year.
“Each service is unique but most include traditional carols and readings.
“This is a special opportunity to join others in a service of reflection and remembrance and to light a candle to those whose memory you treasure.
“Every member of our community and not just those touched by hospice care, is warmly invited to join us and dedicate a light as a positive way of remembering someone special.
“Your light will bring comfort to others too and will shine on one of Rennie Grove’s Christmas trees at a Light up a Life service.”
Every Light up a Life donation will be acknowledged with a dedication card bearing the name of the person to whom the light is dedicated.
Services will take place at Christ Church Flackwell Heath on November 18 at 6.30pm; at the Duke Street Gardens in Princes Risborough at 4pm on November 25; at Prestwood Village Hall on November 26 at 7.30pm, at St Mary’s and All Saints Church in Beaconsfield on December 2 at 4pm and at High Wycombe’s Union Baptist Church on December 9 at 3.15pm.
