A Lane End man who threatened two other people with an imitation gun and racially harassed one of them has been jailed.

Mehtab Mehrban, 33, of Thorne Road, threatened two different victims - a man in his twenties and a man in his thirties - with a fake gun in Simmons Way, Lane End, on July 6 and July 20.

On several occasions, the man in his thirties, who was threatened by Mehrban, was also racially harassed by him between July 6 and 20.

Fortunately neither of Mehrban's victims were injured during the frightening incidents.

He pleaded guilty on October 16 to two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and pleaded guilty to a count of racially aggravated harassment, putting another in fear of violence, on Tuesday (November 6) at Aylesbury Crown Court.

He was jailed for two and a half years.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Alexander Trevivian of High Wycombe Force CID, praised the victims' courage in coming forward.

He said: “Mehtab Mehrban, caused fear and intimidation to his two victims, who have bravely come forward and reported these offences.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the victims and their families for their support.

“Thames Valley Police take incidents of this nature very seriously and will thoroughly investigate reports.”
