A "multi-vehicle" crash is causing mayhem on the M25.
Two lanes were blocked on the clockwise carriageway between J16 (M40) and J17 (Maple Cross). A picture from the scene shows traffic at a standstill.
Traffic is queuing back to J12 and football fans travelling to Wembley Stadium for the Champions League game between Spurs and Inter Milan are being warned of severe delays and advised to allow extra time or consider alternative routes.
The crash came just half an hour after Highways England tweeted to say all main routes for fans heading to the game were clear.
All lanes were reopened at around 5.55pm but Highways England confirmed a secondary incident occured just after the lanes were opened, forcing two lanes to be closed again.
Drivers are being warned of long delays on approach and travel time is reported to be an hour and 45 minutes.
