A 64-year-old man has died after a car crashed into a tree on a busy country road this week.
Hedgerley Lane, going between Gerrards Cross and Hedgerley Green, was closed yesterday (Wednesday) after police were called out at around 7pm.
They said a silver Volkswagen Polo crashed into a tree and the man’s next of kin have been informed.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Tony Jenkins, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Three Mile Cross, said: “Very sadly a man in his sixties died in this collision and an investigation has started to establish the circumstances.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the vehicle travelling on Hedgerley Lane is asked to come forward.
“Also if you have dash-cam footage please contact police.”
