More than 200 people flocked to Red Kite Community Housing’s annual Christmas Market on Wednesday.

Every year the housing association hosts a Christmas market at their offices at Kingsmead Business Park, Loudwater, where local independent businesses are given the opportunity to have a stall.

There were more than 25 stalls, including handmade bath bombs and smellies, cakes, Indian and vegan food, chocolate goodies, wooden toys, candles, bunting and Christmas decorations, as well as free mince pies and mulled wine.

Many of the stallholders were graduates from Red Kite’s business start-up courses which it offers for free to people in the community.

This year Santa made a visit as well as Wycombe District Council’s chairman Cllr Tony Green.

Trevor Morrow, Red Kite’s chief executive, said: “Supporting local independent businesses is a pleasure and something we are really glad we are able to help promote. Previous graduates of our business start-up courses have gone on to achieve great success with their ideas.

“We would to thank everyone who came along and bought from the stalls, or just came to find out more and enjoy a mince pie.”
