Rugby legends Fergus Slattery and David Duckham were guests of honour at a sporting lunch in High Wycombe last week.
The Englishman and the Irishman regaled the audience with tales from the 1971 British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand and elsewhere, assisted by the Master of Ceremonies Roger Dakin with tales of his hockey brilliance.
The rugby superstars shared their memories and helped the Rotary Club of High Wycombe, who organised the special lunch, raise more than £5,000 for charity.
The special event was held at the home of Wycombe Wanderers, Adams Park, in Hillbottom Road, on November 30.
This year, the event raised vital cash for Oxfordshire Oesophageal and Stomach Organisation (OOSO), Wycombe Rent Deposit Scheme along with other Rotary charities.
It is the 11th time the Rotary club has hosted the popular annual lunch.
