In last week’s Nostalgia pages we showed pictures of Christmas parties held at local schools and churches. This week it is the turn of local businesses.
Most of these had sports and social clubs, one of whose functions was to organise the annual Christmas parties.
Often there would be one party for the children of employees, and another for the employees and their wives or partners.
