A burglar has been jailed for more than three years.
Simon Choate, 43, of Station Close, High Wycombe, was arrested after he was found inside a property in Totteridge Road on August 31.
He was confronted and fled the property but was arrested and charged on September 9.
He was jailed for 40 months on December 11 after admitting a count of burglary.
Investigating officer PC David Cannon, of High Wycombe police station, said: “Thames Valley Police take all reports of burglary incredibly seriously and will always conduct a thorough investigation.
“We are pleased to see that Choate has been sentenced at court and brought to justice.
“We hope this sentence reflects how these crimes are viewed by the criminal justice system.”
