A serving police officer based in Chesham has been killed in a motorbike crash while off-duty.
PC Kevin Flint, a neighbourhood officer, died while he was travelling home from work yesterday afternoon (January 15).
His personal motorbike crashed into a stationary vehicle on the northbound carriageway of the A41 near Berkhamstead just after 4pm.
Chief Superintendent Steve Williams said: “It is with great sadness that I confirm the tragic death of serving Thames Valley Police officer, PC Kevin Flint.
“PC Flint’s next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them, as well as his friends and colleagues at this extremely difficult time.
“All those affected are being supported by Thames Valley Police.
“We would kindly request that the privacy of PC Flint’s family is respected.”
The crash is being investigated by the joint protective services of the ambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Constabularies and Bedfordshire Police.
