CCTV images have been released of two people police want to talk to after a pensioner had money for Christmas presents “stolen” from her purse.

Between 12.30pm and 1pm on December 7 last year, the victim, a woman in her 80s, took out a “large amount” of cash intended for Christmas presents from Nationwide, in The Broadway, Chesham.

She then left the bank and went along the High Street to Godden Butchers where she realised that the cash had been taken her bag.

Investigating officer PC Patrycja Lesiakowska, based at Amersham police station, said: “I am releasing these two images as I believe the individuals might be able to provide information that could prove essential to this investigation.

“The money withdrawn by the victim was intended for Christmas presents for her family and the incident understandably left her shaken.”
