A care home celebrated its 10th anniversary with a party attended by the town mayor.

Sunrise of Beaconsfield gathered all its residents, family members and neighbours, as well as mayor Anita Cranmer, to celebrate the milestone.

Cllr Cranmer danced and chatted with residents and the team, while a founding resident, 96-year-old Vivien Holding, cut the cake which was specially baked for the occasion.

Jazz singer Nick Stoter serenaded guests along with Emily Yarrow.

Shila Odedra-Silvera, director of community relations at the care home, said: “We had a lively afternoon of singing, dancing, cake and champagne. Our residents are a truly special and wonderful group of people, all of whom I enjoy seeing and chatting with every day.

“Inviting guests from the local area is very important to us and a great way to ensure they and our residents meet new and interesting people.

“The team here are amazing to work with and we all play a part in making this community the best home it can be for our residents. Here’s to the next 10 years.”
