Strong winds have caused chaos across Bucks today - with power cuts affecting thousands of homes and trees falling down.

A number of attractions across the county have been forced to close amid high winds today - including Hughenden Manor and Odds Farm Park.

Odds Farm, in Wooburn Common, was forced to shut at 12.30pm after a power cut - which is believed to have affected around 4,000 homes.

They said: "Due to high winds and adverse weather conditions today, we have been subject to a power outage, that has affected over 4,000 homes locally.

"We made the decision to close at 12.30pm, and will remain so for the remainder of the day.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused. If you have any queries or concerns, please contact us via email at main@oddsfarm.co.uk and we will respond to you once the power returns."

Hughenden Manor - which was due to welcome families to their Book Day weekend special event - has also had to close.

They said: "Due to high winds and earlier power cuts we are only able to open the stableyard cafe and shop, grounds and car park. The manor will remain closed for the rest of the day."

Meanwhile, the weather has seen a number of trees down across the county - including one that landed on the Prince of Wales pub in Marlow.
