Tributes have poured in for a teenager who died after being struck by a train near Marlow.
Emergency services were called out to tracks near Marlow railway station just after 9.15am on March 18 after 17-year-old Joel Langford sadly died at the scene.
Residents from around south Bucks expressed their shock and upset at the tragic news, with dozens of comments posted on the Bucks Free Press Facebook page for the teenager, who lived in Marlow and attended Great Marlow School.
Terry & Jackie Ball said: “So very sad a young life taken too soon. Sleep peacefully Joel. Heartfelt sympathy to his family.”
Kirsty Vijn wrote: “Utterly devastating, thinking of Joel’s parents and sister and sending all our love.”
Louise Essery said: “Rest in peace Joel such a lovely young man who made me laugh and smile. Heart goes out to the family,” while Paul Hall wrote: “Too, too sad for you all, the stress on our young ones is too much to bear. God bless sweet boy.”
And Rachel Mozley said: “My heart aches for his family; what a lovely looking young man. I am so sorry for their loss,” while Susan Clark commented: “This is truly heartbreaking. What a lovely looking lad. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.”
Following his death, his heartbroken parents paid tribute to their “much-loved” son saying he would he greatly missed by his family.
