Children from a special needs school in High Wycombe took to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall.
The nine children, from Chiltern Wood School, which has sites in Downley and Cressex, performed in Echoes 8 – a “celebration of singing and musicianship” featuring 1,800 primary school-aged children from Bucks.
Staff at Chiltern Wood, a school for children with special educational needs (SEN), said it was the only SEN school attending the event and the first to participate in Echoes.
The children spent hours rehearsing with their teachers, Sara Andreopoulos, Sarah Rietdyk, Sharon O’Toole and Judith Tredwell.
Ms Andreopoulos said: “This has been a great opportunity for the school. It has allowed the children to express themselves through the form of art and has been a great way for the children to be involved in their local community. We are extremely proud of every single child who has attended.” and are already excited for Echoes 9.”
