A motorcylist has been left with serious injuries following a crash involving a car on a busy bypass.

A man on a black Aprilla Tuono V4 1100 motorbike was travelling southeast on the A413 Wendover Bypass in the direction of Amersham when it was involved in a crash with a car that was travelling the opposite way on Friday night (March 29).

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries to his right leg and had to be rushed to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for treatment after the crash, which happened at around 7.10pm and involved a red Vauxhall Corsa.

He is still in hospital. It is believed that the Aprilla was part of a larger group of riders all travelling in the same direction.

No one in the Vauxhall was injured.

Investigating officer PC Russell Irwin, of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing based at Milton Keynes, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage of around the time of 7-7.30pm on Saturday to contact us."
