Two teenagers will be sent to a young offenders' institution for kidnap and robbery after forcing two boys into a field, punching and kicking them and stealing their belongings.

A 14-year-old boy from Hillingdon and a 15-year-old boy from Denham appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday in connection with the shocking attack, which happened on February 15 last year near Old Mill Road in Denham.

Two boys were walking there at around 4.30pm when they were forced into a field by a group of teenagers.

Although one of the boys managed to run away, the other was punched and kicked and had his belongings stolen from him.

The attackers then took the boy to a lake and made him jump in twice before they ran away.

On Monday, the 14-year-old boy from Hillingdon pleaded guilty to two counts of kidnap, one count of robbery and one count of actual bodily harm.

He was sentenced on the same day to two years and nine months’ imprisonment in a young offenders’ institution.

At the same hearing, the 15-year-old boy from Denham also pleaded guilty to two counts of kidnap, one count of robbery and one count of actual bodily harm.

He was given a sentence of three years and four months’ imprisonment in a young offenders’ institution.

In an earlier hearing on February 27, a 14-year-old boy from Harefield and a 15-year-old boy from Denham pleaded guilty to kidnap and both sentenced to a two year youth rehabilitation order.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Kerry Hall, based at Amersham police station, said: “This has been a long and complex investigation.

“It has been particularly difficult for the victim’s and their families. They have shown great courage and restraint throughout the investigation and court process.

“The actions of the defendants were calculated and malicious and their sentences go some way to reflect this. We will not tolerate this sort of behaviour and work hard to bring offenders to justice.”
