Two people have been arrested after a 21-year-old man was stabbed in High Wycombe on Wednesday afternoon.

Thames Valley Police have confirmed that a 16-year-old boy and a 54-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident which occurred in Desborough Road at 12.20pm on Wednesday.

The boy, who is from High Wycombe, has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 GBH. The woman, who is also from High Wycombe, has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both are currently in police custody.

Thames Valley Police has arrested two people in connection with a stabbing incident which took place in High Wycombe.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector James Mather, said: “We have made two arrests in connection with the incident in Desborough Road, in which a 21-year-old man was stabbed, and are continuing our investigation.

“We believe this incident is linked to another incident which took place at 12.05am on Thursday (4/4), following reports that a 17-year-old boy had been stabbed in Queens Acre.

“Both victims sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital.

“Then at 12:50am on Thursday (4/4) it is believed that a firearm was discharged through a window of a property on Tenzing Drive. No one sustained any injuries.

“I would still like to appeal for anyone with information regarding these incidents, which we believe are linked, to come forward and help police by calling 101.

Superintendent Kevin Brown, Local Area Police Commander for Wycombe said: “I would like to reiterate that we do not believe that there is a threat to the wider public and we believe those involved are known to each other.

“Officers will remain visibly present in the area while this investigation takes place. Please speak to them if you have any questions or concerns.”
