Thames Valley Police officers were left somewhat starstruck when they bumped in to former England manager Roy Hodgson whilst out on patrol yesterday.
Roy Hodgson currently manages Premier League side Crystal Palace, so the chance meeting was a real moment to remember for PC Allen, a lifelong fan of the south London club.
And he was spotted having a stroll in West Street, Marlow by officers on the beat.
Unfortunately for PC Allen however, Thames Valley Police confirmed on social media that Roy Hodgson “denied the officers transfer request, which had nothing to do with the window being closed.”
