A High Wycombe man has been jailed for more than two years for robbery.
Nasar Akram, 35, of Herbert Road, forced his way into the Esso petrol station in Amersham Hill, Hazlemere, on February 26, where he threatened a member of staff with a weapon and took nine packets of cigarettes.
He was arrested on February 28 and charged on March 1.
Akram pleaded guilty at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday (April 8) to one count of robbery, one count of breach of a criminal behaviour order, one count of breach of a probation order and one count of committing a further offence whilst on a suspended sentence, and has been jailed for two years and six months.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Nathan Davey, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “This was a frightening incident for the member of staff involved.
“Behaviour such as this will not be tolerated, and we work tirelessly to bring offenders to justice.”
