A driver who was caught speeding at over 100mph along the M40 has been given just six points on his licence.
Geoff Barry, 50, was caught driving an Audi R8 at a speed of 109mph near Beaconsfield on the M40 by a police speed camera on November 24.
The driver, from Overdale Road in London, was fined £781, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a surcharge of £78 at Reading Magistrates’ Court on March 26.
He was not required to appear at the court for the hearing as the case was dealt with via the single justice procedure – where those charges with minor criminal offences are sent a notice outlining the crime.
In response to the notice, Mr Barry pleaded guilty.
His driving record was also endorsed with six points.
