Could Adebayo Akinfenwa be set for a switch into professional wrestling?
The Wycombe striker has dropped hints that he could join WWE once his playing days are over.
Akinfenwa – known as ‘The Beast’ – made the comments during an appearance on Sky’s The Football Social show.
He said that he has ‘had conversations’ and his even met with WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
He told hosts: "I'm into WWE because my kids are.
"I got the chance to meet The Rock and we had a little conversation.
"So watch this space, who knows."
Known as The Beast due to his large build and physical presence on the pitch, Akinfenwa is reported to be able to bench press 200kg - twice his body weight.
And when asked if he could beat The Rock, he replied ‘of course, yeah’.
The striker has been at Adams Park since 2016, scoring 36 goals in 116 appearances.
In 2018 he was nominated for the League Two Player of the Year award, having netted 17 times in the league on Wanderers’ route to League One promotion.
He scored twice in Wycombe's vital 2-0 win over Southend on Saturday.
