The victim of a brazen hit-and-run last week has taken to social media to confirm that he and his nine-year-old son are recovering after the incident.
Revealing he had suffered “just a few broken bones” in the incident, he thanked passers by who came to him and his son’s aid when they were struck by a vehicle which failed to stop.
The pair were hit by a red Toyota Prius on Mill End Road at approximately 10pm on Thursday night (11/4).
Detectives investigating the shocking incident are yet to make an arrest as the manhunt continues.
Speaking on Friday, investigating officer PC Tom Smith, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, based at Amersham, said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident to please come forward.
“I would also urge anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to check any dash-cam footage.
“Anyone with information can contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference ‘43190110455’ or make a report online.
“Alternatively, you can contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
