FANS of top soul singer Heather Small were left disappointed after she cancelled her High Wycombe show at the last minute - blaming “dangerously unsafe wiring”.
In a message on her Facebook page, the M People singer announced with “huge regret and disappointment” that she was unable to take to the stage at Wycombe Swan on Friday night.
She said: “The venue has a dangerously unsafe wiring issue which has caused major problems to Heather and the band who have been there for six hours today struggling to deal with these issues.
“The venue is unsafe and Heather would not wish to put herself, her band, her support artists and most of all her fans in any kind of danger.”
In response to the concerns, Lizzie Ludgate, spokesman for the Wycombe Swan, said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances the performance of Heather Small could not go ahead. Refunds will be processed this week and we will be in contact directly with everyone who booked tickets, we hope to rearrange a new date with Heather Small and will publish details in due course.”
