Panicked residents called firefighters to a High Wycombe street amid fears an out-of-control skip blaze would spread to neighbouring properties.
Emergency crews raced to Chestnut Avenue, near The Rye, after reports of a large blaze at 3.06pm.
Smoke was seen billowing into the sky and eye-witnesses reported spotting nearby residents attempt to put the blaze out before firefighters arrived.

However, it was quickly extinguished with a High Wycombe-based crew using one hose reel to douse the flames.
A dramatic video and pictures from the scene showed the fire moments before 999 responders put it out.
