A Princes Risborough resident has been left angered by the state of the town's recycling centre, which has been left with a mountain of rubbish spilling from the top over the bank holiday weekend.

More than 2,000 people signed a petition last year, calling on Bucks County Council to rethink the closure of Bledlow Ridge recycling centre, which was eventually axed by the council who said that they had been left with no choice after being under huge “financial pressures”.

However, last month the leader of the Bucks County Council Martin Tett said after a visit to Amersham recycling centre that the facility was “heaving” with residents having to queue for long periods of time to dispose of waste.

Residents are now taking to social media to highlight the impact that the closure has had on the remaining facilities across the local area.
