The winner of a £2500 charity prize draw awarded by a Beaconsfield property company has been announced.

Stocks, a Marlow-based boutique, was chosen at random by The Shanly Group to receive the prize, which was subsequently donated to the charity Arthouse Unlimited. Based in Godalming, Arthouse Unlimited operates artistic workshops for adults with physical and learning disabilities.

The boutique is a family-run business which specialises in craft gifts. The company stocks a range of hand-made products which are created by Arthouse Unlimited.

Stocks manager, Sandie, said: “When it comes to selecting suppliers for our shops, we try to work with organisations, businesses and individual with a unique story to tell and love supporting those whose products have an impact on the wellbeing of others.

“Arthouse Unlimited is creating marvellous products, and I hope that Shanly Group’s donation will help them to continue providing guidance and support to talented people with disabilities.”

Katie from Arthouse Unlimited said: “We’re thrilled to have been nominated as the recipient of Shanly Group’s charity prize by the Stocks team. This support is extremely encouraging and will enable the artists to continue creating beautiful and moving art work, helping to provide a sense of purpose and a welcoming, inclusive environment.”

Tamra Booth, Operations Director at The Shanly Group, said: “The Shanly Group is committed to supporting local communities across a range of initiatives, spanning health, poverty, education and art and we’re pleased that our tenant Stocks has nominated Arthouse Unlimited to receive a £2,500 donation from the Shanly Foundation.

“Arthouse Unlimited helps promote social inclusion, while strengthening communities – a purpose that strongly resonates with the Shanly Group ethos.”
