AN APP for reporting potholes to the council has been praised by Buckinghamshire councillors.
The app, Fix My Street, lets people report the location of problems on roads and pavements, and track the progress of fixing the issue.
Councillor Gareth Williams said: “One of my constituents expressed astonishment that on Fix My Street, he put in a pothole and it was fixed the very next day.
“I’ve had similar experiences as well. It’s great to see a piece of smart digital software that actually does work. The more we can make of this, the better.”
Users first locate the problem, then enter details, and Buckinghamshire County Council sends people to investigate.
Cllr Mark Shaw said: “The Fix My Street app that we’ve used and that we’ve worked closely with the manufacturers with has actually been nominated for a national award, which is really good news.”
