A Slough robber and fraudster has been jailed for three years.
Jason Reynolds, 39, of Long Furlong Road, took a car without the consent of the owner on October 13 last year and used a credit card found in the car to buy items.
He was charged on October 24.
Reynolds was then stopped and detained by police on December 3 after he was found to be driving a stolen car. Officers found a machete in the car.
He was charged with these offences on December 4.
Reynolds pleaded guilty to one count of burglary, one count of possession of a bladed article, one count of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and six counts of fraud by false representation at Reading Crown Court.
He was convicted on 16 April and sentenced on the same day, police confirmed today.
Case investigator Graham Bavin, based at Maidenhead police station, said: “Reynolds is a prolific offender and this behaviour will not be tolerated.
“The investigation team worked tirelessly to bring offenders to justice.
“All reports of this nature are taken seriously, thoroughly investigated and offenders will be taken through the courts.”
