HOMEBUYERS in Gerrards Cross have the chance to live mortgage free for the first six months.

The offer was made this week by the developer of a smart new apartment block five minutes walk from Gerrards Cross station.

“Many young professionals looking for a home in the area could discover it’s currently cheaper to buy than rent,” said Tony Williamson, director of Angle Property.

Prices for the contemporary one and two-bedroom pads on the Marsham House development in Station Road start at £400,000.

The developer says the range of incentives on the town centre scheme is enabling increasing numbers of first time buyers to take the first step onto the property ladder.

He explains: “With mortgage rates still remaining low and schemes such as Help to Buy, many would-be purchasers currently renting in the town could find their monthly mortgage repayments would be lower than what they are paying in rent.

“With our latest incentive we are offering to pay a purchaser’s mortgage for the first six months, helping to alleviate those initial costs when you purchase your first home.

“What’s more, we have a range of furniture packs available too.

“Buyers can get their new home all kitted out so they can move straight in and start enjoying life here.”

The 50 one and two-bedroom flats and penthouses at Marsham House will all include an off-road parking space.

Apartments have either a private balcony or a terrace.

As well as being close to the station where trains whisk you into Marylebone in 23 minutes, the development is only a few hundred yards from the town centre with its wide choice of shops, cafes, restaurant and leisure amenities.

You could also go the other way out of Gerrards Cross station and head towards the like of Oxford, Bicester and Stratford-upon-Avon.

The show home and sales suite (01753 326623) are open from 10-5 on Saturdays and Sundays and at other times by appointment.
