The ancient tradition of weighing the mayor of High Wycombe returned at the weekend.
New mayor Cllr Maz Hussain took the chains from outgoing mayor Cllr Sarfaraz Khan Raja on Saturday, May 18 in a quirky ceremony.
Crowds gathered in Frogmoor to see if politicians and dignitaries have been overindulging during their time in office, as they take a seat on the scales in front of the crowds.
Boos rang out as it was revealed that Wycombe MP Steve Baker had indeed put on weight since he was weighed last year, while Cllr Tony Green was cheered for not putting on any weight.
