Wycombe MP Steve Baker has got the backing of fellow Brexiteer Mark Francois if he decides to stand as Tory leader and Prime Minister.
Mr Francois, who is also a member of the Eurosceptic European Research Group alongside Mr Baker, told the BBC he "might be attracted to vote for Steve" if he decides to make a leadership bid following Theresa May's emotional announcement that she would be resigning.
He said: "If someone like Steve Baker were to run, I might be attracted to vote for Steve.
"Remember, like me, he continued to vote against the Withdrawal Agreement even on the so-called meaningful vote three, Boris folded, Dom folded, Steve didn’t.
"So I'm not sure if he will run or not but if he did I would be quite tempted to vote for Steve Baker."
It comes after Mr Baker announced he would be "mulling over" the idea of throwing his hat into the ring and standing for the leadership.
