Councillor Matthew Walsh has been re-elected by fellow councillors as Princes Risborough mayor.

Cllr Walsh, who is the youngest mayor to be elected in the town’s history, will now enter his fourth year of term as mayor after he was re-elected at the annual meeting of the town council which was held on May 28.

Following his re-election, Cllr Walsh who also serves as the chairman of Princes Risborough said: “It’s an honour to be re-appointed and an exciting time to represent this wonderful town.

“Along with my fellow councillors and officers in the last year, the Council have introduced Farmers Markets, taken over the management of the Community Centre, acquired a prime retail unit on our High Street and have been heavily involved with the development of the Local Plan, and I very much look forward to the year ahead.”
