ONE of High Wycombe's two zero-star hygiene takeaways has received a new visit from inspectors.

Earlier this month we visited both of the town's worst rated eateries - Dixee Chicken and Blue Lagoon Jamaican. Both are on Desborough Road.

But it appears as if the town will one have one fewer place to eat with the very worst rating, after hygiene inspectors paid another visit to fried chicken and kebab house Dixee Chicken.

Data from the Food Standards Agency shows that a re-inspection has taken place.

And it is clear that a new rating is on its way, meaning the takeaway looks to have improved since the previous inspection on October 12, 2018.

Back then, inspectors rated it in the following way:

  • Food Hygiene and Safety - POOR
  • Structural Compliance - NO
  • Confidence in Management - NO

Although neither Wycombe District Council nor the Food Standard Agency have revealed the new rating, it has been confirmed on the official Scores on the Doors website that a new rating is coming.

The Bucks Free Press will bring you the new rating and report when it is available.

Of the 1,162 places registered for food hygiene ratings in Wycombe district, more than half have five stars - the best possible.
