A motorcyclist was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after coming off his bike in Gerrards Cross.

At around 10.15am on Saturday (June 1) the motorcyclist, a 68-year-old man, came off his classic motorcycle, a distinctive vintage black Aerial Sloper, on the A413 at the large viaduct.

He suffered multiple injuries and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Investigating officer PC Martin Woodford of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing based at Amersham police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have been travelling along the A413 at the time of the collision and believes that they witnessed the incident, to make contact with police.

“The collision was on the Amersham-bound carriageway in the direction of Denham.

“The motorcycle is very distinctive, and I am particularly looking for any dash or bike cam footage of the collision, and anybody who may have seen the bike before the collision and if the motorcyclist got into any difficulty prior to the incident to contact us.”
