Chiltern Railways have won the Excellence in Employee Engagement category at the 2019 British Quality Foundation (BQF) Awards.

The award, which has been presented since 1994, acknowledges organisations that have demonstrated how they work with staff to help improve their workplace.

The railway line defeated companies such as Adecco Group, National Express (UK Bus and UK Coach), Safemove and Involvement Packaging to the prize. It’s the second consecutive year the railway line have won a category at the award ceremony.

Jamie Green, business improvement manager at Chiltern Railways said: “We are delighted to be the only business to have won Excellence Awards for two years running, picking up the Customer Excellence award last year and then the Excellence in People Engagement this year.

“It was a fantastic team effort, led by our HR director, Rebecca Ward.

“I am incredibly proud of this as it’s a reflection on the high levels of quality at Chiltern.”
