Motorists and commuters faced long rush hour delays throughout High Wycombe this morning after a major junction was closed by police.

Detectives investigating a serious incident in the town cordoned-off West Wycombe Road at 4.30am today.

The closure left chaos on the roads with motorists stuck in lengthy queues and bus routes diverted or cancelled.
The road could be closed for most of the morning, according to initial reports.
There has also been a crash on the A40 London Road this morning.
This is currently closed according to Bucks County Council.

There was heavy traffic on Desborough Avenue and Arch Way, with delays also reported on Marlow Hill and London Road.
Carousel Buses were delayed with Service 40 and 5 among the affected routes.
