THE first buyers have already taken up residence in the smart new apartment block in Amersham town centre.

More than 50 per cent of the studios and one- and two-bedroom flats have been sold largely to first time buyers and investors.

The Regent Place development is at the entrance to the shoppers’ car park in Sycamore Road. Part of the building is above the enticing dress shop that has replaced Iceland.

The 36 pads at Regent Place are just up the road from Amersham Station from where trains whisk you into London in half an hour. As well as the shops, there’s a swimming pool within walking distance and so many places to eat you could go to a different restaurant or café every night of the week should you want to.

Prices for a one-bedroom flat start at £365,000 and from £450,000 for a two-bed. Help to Buy is available on some of the remaining plots and how about this: the developer is offering to pay your mortgage for the first six months to help alleviate the upfront costs.

James Good, a director of Angle Property says it’s great to see the first residents happily settled into their posh new homes. Many of the apartments have a balcony and all residents will be welcome to enjoy the first floor roof terrace when the weather’s good.

The developer says: “We have been enjoying increased interest from buyers, keen to look at the show apartment along with the other homes we have available.

"It’s a commuter’s dream – that’s what’s driving demand from young professionals and investors.”
