Wycombe MP Steve Baker has announced his support for Boris Johnson in the Conservative leadership contest.
The former foreign secretary received backing from prominent Brexiteer Baker - who had been considering his own leadership bid.
His decision was announced in this morning’s Sunday Telegraph, with the former Brexit minister taking to social media to explain his decision.

He said: “I am going to put my complete faith in Boris Johnson because he understands that unless we deliver a Brexit worth having in the opinion of Brexit Party voters than we will suffer a Jeremy Corbyn government with all the horrors that would mean for our prosperity and our wellbeing.”
According to national reports, Westminster insiders claim that Baker met with both Mr Johnson and Dominic Raab earlier this week.
And he has now decided to back the ex-Foreign Secretary.
The news could see other members of Mr Baker’s European Research Group (ERG) also back the former mayor of London.
The Boris campaign is already backed by leading ERG members including Jacob Rees Mogg, Andrew Bridgen and David Jones.
Mr Baker – the former Brexit Minister – delivered a Hard Brexit ultimatum to Tory leadership candidates on Wednesday and refused to rule out standing himself.
However, writing in support of Mr Johnson last night, Baker added: “Boris Johnson is crystal clear that under his leadership, we would leave the EU by October 31, with or without a deal.
“The Withdrawal Agreement is dead. A Clean Managed Brexit is the way forward.”
