Shocking CCTV footage shows the moment a man launched two "ferocious and unprovoked" attacks on a 56-year-old in a Chesham pub.

George Horn has been jailed for nine years for punching two men and leaving them with serious face and eye injuries at the Jolly Sportsman pub in Eskdale Avenue on August 18 last year.

The 25-year-old left his first victim - a 56-year-old man - with an eye injury and before leaving the pub at around 10pm, punching and kicking a second man, aged 30, causing serious facial injuries.

Horn tried to evade justice after the attacks but police eventually caught up with him and he was charged with one count of grievous bodily harm with intent (section 18) and one count of grievous bodily harm without intent (section 20), on January 22 this year.

Bucks Free Press:

He pleaded guilty to the crimes at Aylesbury Crown Court on April 30 and he was sent down for nine years on June 13.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Fred Ruffle from Aylesbury Force CID, said: “George Horn carried out two ferocious and unprovoked attacks on these two victims, who both required medical treatment.

“CCTV of these incidents show the aggressive and violent nature of these attacks.

“Following these serious assaults, Horn also attempted to evade police.

Bucks Free Press:

“Horn is clearly a violent offender and until he was arrested and charged he did not want to be held responsible for his actions.

“However, he was successfully arrested, charged and taken through the courts.

“The hard work of officers involved in this case meant that Horn entered a guilty plea at the first opportunity.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the victims involved in this case for their support, which was not easy given the nature of the attacks.”
