A new design for the Handy X Hub hotel has been unveiled.
Construction of the new 150-bed Hampton hotel is expected to be started later this year, with developers saying that the new development will be the first of its ‘new generation – new build’ hotels in the UK.
Cllr Steve Broadbent, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration, said: “We work hard to support and grow the local economy and accompanying job opportunities, and it is exciting to see the plans progress and eventually become reality.
“This is a sleek, stylish design and I look forward to seeing the work get under way later this year.
“Further innovative phases are in the pipeline for the flagship site, offering further opportunities to businesses in the area.”
