Wycombe District Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.

They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.

Here are five of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.

1) The Wycliffe Centre, Horsleys Green – Proposals to demolish the existing building and structures on the site have been submitted.

Developers hope to redevelop the area to provide a supported living community for older persons, compromising of 166 supported living units, clubhouse incorporating communal facilities, landscaping, plant room, refuse stores and car parking.

2) Vine Lodge, Northend – Plans to demolish the conservatory of a property has been submitted.

The applicants hope to construct a two-storey side/rear extension/annexe, comprising of two bedrooms and living accommodation separate to the main building.

3) David Lloyd Leisure Group, Wooburn Green – The leisure centre have lodged plans to build a two-storey extension to the eastern side of the building.

Modifications will also be made to the existing car parks on both the east and west of the building in order to accommodate 36 additional spaces.

4) The Old Cottage, Bledlow – This listed building may soon have a two storey side and single storey rear extension.

Following the removal of the garage, the applicants hope to build a new attached garage/sunroom/log store.

5) Gommes Forge, Loosley Row - Applicants have lodged plans to demolish the commercial building on the site and build a number of properties on the site.

The plans outline proposals to build one three-bed dwelling & one four-bed with joint double carport, one five-bed dwelling with attached double garage, one four-bed dwelling with attached single garage and one five-bed dwelling with double carport.
