A popular young footballer sadly passed away over the weekend.
Twenty-one-year old Matt Sinclair played for local Southern League Premier Division South side Chesham United. In a statement, the club said: “Everyone at Chesham United is saddened by the news that Matt Sinclair passed away over the weekend.
“Matt was a popular figure among his teammates and around the club in the time he was with us last season and and will always be remembered.”

Joint manager James Duncan said: “Myself and Muzza are heartbroken by the passing of Matt Sinclair. Matt was not only a fantastic footballer but an absolute pleasure to be around.
“Thoughts and prayers are with Matt’s family and friends. We dedicate this season to Matt, and we hope to make him proud. RIP Matt”
“Matt's former headteacher, Ms Shirley Austin from The Forest School, paid tribute to Matt.”
“Ms Austin said: "It is with great sadness that Matt has passed away. We remember Matt at The Forest School for his talent on and off the sports field, but in particular on the football pitch.
"He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by The Forest School family."
