The winning schools of this years Community Cards competition have been announced.

23 schools from across Chiltern and South Bucks entered this year’s sticker-collecting scheme, which helps year six pupils for their transition to secondary school.

Curzon C of E School in Amersham and Denham Green E-Act Academy were the overall champions and received a class trip to Legoland.

Ivingswood Academy picked up the second place prize and won a trip to The Climb in Amersham, and St Nicolas' C of E Combined School won a visit to Beaconsfield Fire Station.

Chiltern District cabinet member for healthy communities, Cllr Liz Walsh said: "Congratulations to the year six pupils at Curzon C of E Combined School and Denham Green E-Act Academy who successfully completed this year's Community Cards scheme and collected the most stickers between them.

"The topics covered in the scheme included everything from money management to cyber safety and environmental issues, and I hope that as well as being great fun, the competition helped them pick up lots of useful skills for the future."

South Bucks cabinet member for healthy communities, Cllr Patrick Hogan said: "Congratulations to the winning schools and all the pupils who participated in the scheme.

“We hope they had a great time enjoying their well-deserved day out at LEGOLAND. The experience will stand them in good stead for starting secondary school in September. Well done to everyone involved."
