Rain on Friday night refused to dampen the spirits of thousands of festival-goers who descended on Penn Street for the ninth annual PennFest spectacular.
Suede, Craig David, Peter Doherty, Happy Mondays, Miles Kane and Peter Hook from New Order were among the big names to delight the crowds on stage over the weekend.
Alongside the main stage, acts like Noasis, The Farm, Goldie Lookin' Chain and Basement Jaxx performed on the ever-rocking Big Top Stage and the dance-focussed Warehouse Stage saw DJ sets from the likes of Ellis Dee and Altern8.

The two-day family-friendly music festival with camping was headlined by indie rock pioneers Suede on Friday, and Craig David, who had the crowds jumping as he finished the festival with a massive party on Saturday.
Aside from the music, there was plenty to keep everyone entertained throughout the weekend - with fairground rides, an enchanted forest, Kids Kingdom, stalls and food and drink offerings.
The event grew from humble beginnings as a village festival attracting around 2,000 people from the local area – into a hugely respected fixture now pulling in a crowd of 10,000 per day, and Saturday was a sell-out this year.
Photographers Adam Whitlock and Emma Sheppard were on hand to capture all the fun on camera - scroll through our gallery to relive all the action.
